The Commandos Marine are elite combat units of the French Navy, comprising seven operational units of around 90 men each — including Commando Jaubert, Commando de Montfort, Commando de Penfentenyo, Commando Trepel, Commando Hubert and Commando Kieffer — plus a support unit of about 160 men, Commando Ponchardier.
